I wish he had fought Lindland back when the 2 were talking a little shit to each other.
I honestly think he would give Maia or Marquardt incredible fights and possibly win.
GSP is an athletic freak that he can't out quick or out muscle. He wouldn't be the strongest guy @ 185 but he'd be one of the best wrestlers and still very strong compared to alot of guys.
Marquartd is a good striker, but not as quick as GSP.
I don't think that he matches up well w/ either of them. If Hughes cannot beat the top fighters at 170 lbs., including Alves, then I just don't see how he could go up a weight class and beat the top fighters, most of whom will be larger than he is.
They should hire younger Gracie's for him to beat up. I like the whole Gracie challenge angle that is playing out. It would be awesome if he fought one of Rorion's kids or Randolph Gracie's brother.
Give him an instant shot. It's not like it is unprecedented.
Hughes would get destroyed at 185.
