On the Bubba The Love Sponge show, Randy Couture said that if UFC signs Fedor, he would go back. He did qualify it saying it would have to be under a new contract, not the old one.

So a nearly impossible event (Fedor signing with UFC) is necessary to cause a slightly less impossible one (Randy coming back) to occur.

Even better if they actually sign Fedor have the stipulation be that Randy has to fight Mino first and beat him.Then he can fight Fedor..If he win's..If not have Arlovski fight Mino with the winner getting Fedor

He also said there might be other avenues for the fight, such as having promotions like GoldenBoy productions do it. Sounded like Randy was wanting the type of salary boxers like de la hoya got.
I doubt the fight would bring in many ppv buys if done under a different banner. One of the major reasons the UFC gets so many buys is because they invest so much in advertising amongst other things.
It would be funny if Fedor came to the UFC and Randy was left out.
They also mentioned how Kim was the main reason Randy came back to MMA. Apparently she'd always put thoughts in his head about how he can beat this guy and that guy etc. With that being said, i wouldn't be surprised if she's the one who's encourage him to play hard ball in this manner when it comes to money - he gets the title, and then pushes for more $$$.
Randy did say it's annoying to hear people bash Kim when they don't know anything about her, so i should probably stop - although, she did seem to want to take a lot of credit for a lot of things, for example she came on strongly when talking about how 'she created the gym', she created the merchandise etc...although as she calmed down she threw in Randy's name in there about how he has the name recognition.
Hopefully this fight happens soon so we can just move on.

What are the stipulations? Didn't he say right from the start that he wanted to fight Fedor, and when that became impossible, resigned from the UFC?
Didn't he also say multiple options for a Fedor fight were presented and rejected by Zuffa?
^ I'm pretty sure that comment was in reference to Randy saying it has to be a new contract IF he came back. Doesn't sound like he 'just wants to fight fedor'.
If you go by the problems M1 is having right now, these 'multiple options' presented by teamfedor were probably horrible and dana made a very wise move telling them to f-off. Unfortunately for M1 people, they took the bait and now they're running around like headless chickens.
