I think it's a good fight, especially if Crawford wants to go up to 147 lbs. then he needs to get acclimated to that weight.

Holloway is huge @ 147 lbs.

It'd be more competitive than you'd think.

I guess it's really just the way I say things, sorry.

Cringe.

Holloway has completely evolved in the last 4 years, dude is on another level, good luck beating him, and he's young as fuck, yep good luck.

11 straight wins @ 145 lbs. in the UFC since losing to McGregor is overly impressive.

Now if McGregor KO’s Floyd this will make more sense than people think, especially if Max can finish Edgar.

Nobody will be left @ 145 lbs. besides Ortega. So boxing Crawford or going up to 155 lbs. are the only options with a finish of Edgar.

VU CRE, those pictures really shows the truth.

Does Edgar have any chance if he doesn't get this to the ground? I think Max stuffs all his takedowns and bombards him on the feet.

Edgar probably doesn’t hit hard enough, but he has the foot work and in n out double with cheese. It’s the hardest fight imaginable at 145 lbs.

With a win Holloway has cleared out the division.

This is the Max Holloway that McGregor fought to a decision victory 4 years ago, the last time Holloway lost. If 4 years unbeaten becomes 5 or 6+ years shit gets really real.

Not even close to the same fighter we see today that just fought Aldo..Max is still only 25..

How many fights did Indongo have outside of Windhoek Country Club and Resort?

Boxing has a much more questionable competition pool full of bloated records that are full of pad. A little bit of research reveals that reality.

How many boxers get to crush a bunch of lesser opposition on their home turf everytime until they get to a big title fight, in MMA it's not that way.

Ty CRE, I appreictae your posts and you always hit the nostalgia.

You’re welcome. Looks like Max Holloway is a perpetual underdog story. Edgar will probably open as favorite. Anyone got those odds yet?

TheAlchemist - Max would beat Conor in a rematch.
Agreed, He Would Finish Conor In 3

Excuse me? Conor demolished Max for 3 rounds while tearing an ACL in the middle of the fight.

Conor would KO Max in a rematch. No doubt about it.

That was only Conor's 2nd UFC fight by the way, so he arguably had less experience against high level competition than Max did and Conor still dominated him.

Max was 7-2 at the time coming off a loss. Conor was 13-2 on a 9 fight winning streak and had just knocked out Brimage who was ranked higher than Max. Conor had more experience than Max and was on a higher arc.

I think a rematch goes the same way (decision loss for Max) but lets not paint the first fight the wrong way.

Now tables are a bit different. Conor’s had the most the recent loss (albeit to a larger fighter) and Max hasn’t loss since his last fight with Conor. Max has been cleaning out the division and looking better with every fight against very good fighters.

Also, something that shouldn’t be overlooked, Max has also added more muscle weight to his frame since his first fight with Conor. Max has honed his skills and has the physicality/mentality to impose those skills.

Max puts Conor away in 4rds.

Although this is all a moot point because I don’t think Conor takes a fight with Max at all.
