Jerry Wetzel is the most senior U.S. instructor for the CMDP developed by Rodney King of Johannesburg, South Africa. The CMPD system is excellent for self-defense as well as MMA. Its hallmark involves a tight, simple structure, range sensitivity, and hand movements for an excellent defensive platform to counter-strike as well as an excellent clinch range game. Both Rodney and Jerry have video on YouTube demonstrating some fundamentals of the system.
As a former wrestler, I can vouch for this being by far the best system/platform to complement your takedown game. For women, it will give you the ability and confidence to “ride the storm” when being struck.
In this seminar Jerry will be going in depth into how to dominate ranges so that nothing takes place until you want it to. We’ll also be working on developing effective counters to various opponents and strategies including the inside game, clinch tie ups, and clinch range fighting. All of this will be done with the constructive and supportive environment that the CMDP is known for in order to make sure everyone gets the most from their training experience. There will be something for everyone from beginners to those who have been playing for a while so don't miss out!
There will be time for troubleshooting and Q&A as well.
Jerry will also be available for privates while he is in town. (He also teaches Red Zone edged weapon defense.) Please contact Rich for more information.
The cost is $100 for both sessions, pre-registration; that’s a great deal for some great instruction and training. Participation will improve you stand-up game.
