im still waiting for the day that fighters just get dropped in a random spot and have to fight... could be a soccer field or a parking lot or a clothing store or a zoo.
the best fighters can deal with the unexpected imho. guy used to show up to shows and fight tournaments in one night... now champs can't fight in a week.
Probably not the best surface for ground fighting. FILA beach wrestling doesn't have any par terre.

Anytime i see open area / arena fighting, and this one has sand to top it off, i think about the life of brian scene where the slave is running around the edge of the arena in circles until the gladiator he's meant to be fighting dies of exhaustion....
