Every time I try Creatine I get overwhelming headaches and have to stop. I drink tons of water and have been told that some brands or types don't have this as a side effect. Does anyone have any recommendations?
What the fuck product are you using???

I've never heard of this sounds like a very unusual reaction to me but maybe it is more common than I know? Have you researched this at all? Heard of other people who get this? Obviously it would be a good idea to stop using whatever brand/type of creatine you are using. Have you experimented with different types? Brands? Do they all have the same effect? If you are taking a monohydrate maybe switch to an ethyl ester or HCL or Kre Alkalyn? If that doesn't work just don't take creatine, it's a good supplement but not like it's mandatory.
Looks like it's a lot more common than I thought, here are a few links with more info

I have never heard if this, interesting.... But yeah try kre alk ?
Thanks guys. I don't remember any specific brands. Usually I have just used cheap stuff and that is probably the cause.
Cheap creatine is usually sourced from China. So it might be 90% creatine and 10% surprise in that powder
Try looking for creatine supplements with the CreaPure branding, its 99,9% pure creatine from Germany, tested and safe
Optimum Nutrition uses it among others
You might want to ensure you are drinking plenty water if your training remember to drink plenty. If you keep getting the headaches you might want to think about stopping and trying some quality creapure.
You can get really good prices on supplements if you order online. My favorite is canadianprotein.com they sell quality products and I've never seen better prices anywhere. They sell several different creatine products including the creapure mentioned here. I've never tried any of the creatine from them but I buy 25 lbs bulk bags of whey isolate from them regularly and I've always been happy. I end up paying about half what I would in a supplement store and the delivery is always very fast sometimes by next day but never more than two days. Unfortunately they only deliver in Canada right now but there other similar sites you can take advantage of. http://www.truenutrition.com/ is one you can try, you can make your own custom protein blends with them too which is cool. They also have the same selection of creatines http://www.truenutrition.com/c-99-creatine.aspx
Wow, thanks for the great info
