I usually cut around that much weight over two or three days. I keep my protein high up until the last day where I cut most of my food out. I found through trial and error that if I cut protein for more then a week or so I lose alot of muscle. I always thought it was a myth so I tried cutting alot of protein and went with a greens only diet for the last week and lost alot of muscle and strength. As for the creatine I try to eliminate it for the last two or three days so I'm not retaining as much water. No scientific reason thats just what works well with me. I have no problem cutting the weight while taking creatine but supposedly this is not the norm.

thanks for the input. I've eliminated the carbs almots totally (under 10% of my daily calories) for the past week. I eat lots of greens too. I stopped creatine intake today (2 days out of weigh-in). I've heard a bath with epsum salt was good, might try it. Do you ever use diuretics and/or laxatives?

i don't take fiber supplement, but I have been adding a tablespoon of ground flax seeds (wich contains lots of fibers) to all my feeding of the past week.
Sounds like you are on the right track. I dont ever take laxatives or diuretics. 16 pounds for a guy that weights 200 pounds isnt too much plus I would be worried about screwing myself up for fight day. You never know when you will be tested either. Not to mention that I could never really recover from shitting myself in a cage in front of people lol.
Flax is a good idea...i take the flax in pill form but same idea. Never done the epsum salt thing. I have tried water loading which is good but too late for you now if you are two days out. I didnt get anything from distilled water but I have heard that works. I assume you are using a sauna to cut the weight as well. Good luck.
