Crosby's Quote from UG in ESPN the Mag

Anyone else see that? It was about the BJ zombies surrounding his house.

Doesn't mention UG by name, though. (Chicken fuckers)

There were tons of people that don't not even care for BJ that were pissed. It's a judge's responsibility to be objective- not to give shady, lopsided decisions in close fights, then troll a message board mocking that fighter's fan base.

too bad nothing he does can get him fired

thats why shit sucks so hard, zero accountability

ohferfuxsakes -  I thought his rant was top notch to be honest.

Was it really him?  Who's confirmed that?

If it wasn't him, being quoted in ESPN the Mag is even crazier!

^^^ More evidence that fans really don't understand the 10-point must system, even though its advocates claim they (the fans) do.

Yet another reason why round scoring needs to go. Scoring should reflect the actual discrepancy when the number of rounds is extremely small. It may work well for tennis, or maybe even boxing, but round scoring blows chunks when applied to 3 and 5 round contest.

It was the same person that's been posting on the UG for years. Had to be, given the literary style. Even the whole taunting the UG with an answer was something we'd seen before from him (e.g., his opinion on the Machida-Shogun fight).

Hard to imagine it would not be DC. The number of verifiable events, mostly about his film work, that he has mentioned throughout his tenure here would be remarkably difficult to fake without intimate knowledge.

This is why my system should be adopted :  )

I always like it when a hitter knows I groved him one.

thanks for the props

In all truthfullness, "the fans understand the 10 point must system" has been completely exposed by this fight. If you pay the slightest amount of attention to the rhetoric, you cannot escape the notion that a 50-45 score is completely innappropriate for such a narrow contest, even if that's exactly how the fight should be scored under the current rules. There's little justice is barely losing all 5 rounds and ending up with a score that looks like complete ownage. To the point, though, fans do NOT understand it.

A close fight that is not reflected as such in the scoring is NOT something the fans will understand. Not in a 3 or 5 round fight, at least. That argument should NEVER be used again.

Scoring needs to be re-evaluated. Haulports suggestion is an awesome place to start.

Fuck alternative scoring... how the hell would that help?

If they can't figure out how to appropriately use the CURRENT system, how in the hell would expect they could learn a NEW one that's even more complicated?

I've said the exact same thing.
