In my opionion when was the last time Rich had a problem with a grappler?? And i know for a fact that he is 100% healthy and ready to fight. On top of that with the grappling Rich is no slouch on the ground, he is a brown belt under 2x World BJJ Champion Ricardo "Chita" Barros.
mcpeepants232003 - that's a pretty sick card. Better than 42 imo. Page/Tamura is going to be a great fight. The real question though is will Crunkilton actually fight or will he pull out?
Rich had a broken foot and an injured knee for the past two fights he was supposed to have. If he's healthy,he'll be there. Granted, even if he's not, he'll still be there as long as the doc will let him.
The guy won FL state Champs 2 weeks after getting his brown belt. I don't think anybody is going to hurt him on the ground. Should be a good fight.
The real question is, can Jansen keep from getting taken down. If he can do that, he has a chance.
i know he was legitimately hurt both times. a year ago when he hurt his foot he fractured in on a airdyne bike. dana white saw his foot and thought he would never fight again. the second time he tore his miniscus and still trained for a couple of weeks on it, the doctor just wouldn't let him fight right before his fight with Bartamus. i know the how good of shape he is in, i know how hard he has been training for this fight, and whoever thinks Jansen is going to kill him is an idiot. On sept 2nd those guys are going to be really upset.
This card is nice but Assuncao and Fabiano are essentially in showcase fights.
i'm not surprised that most people think that this is a gimme fight for Fabiano... it is not. i train with Eric Koch and i'm telling you, the kid is amazing. and not just against scrubs like me, he regularly rolls and spars with guys that are alot bigger and more experienced (Jessie lennox, Joe Vedapo both UFC Vets) and he's massive for 145... you heard it here first...
