Culinary Union Question

Considering how they harass the UFC, why is there not something Zuffa can do in the court system to get that mob to back off. Also, why are the members of that union not raising hell over how their funds are being spent? Phone Post

Stop tipping would be best thing to do.

The best defense is a good offense.

HTF do we kill them like a fuckin chicken Dana FFS?

Time to turn the tables and try to make those bitches suffer.

Obamas fault if you ask me.

Thanks Obama! Phone Post 3.0

MMA fans need to show up on the CU HQs and start picketing like CU workers do at Station Casinos in Vegas. What a wwwwwaste of dues.

But does Zuffa not have any legal way to make then stop the harassment? I still don't see why the union members are not raising hell about their paid dues being wasted. Phone Post

It's like a scene out of the sopranos.

When entering an establishment ask if they are members of the Culinary Union. If they say yes, let them know why you are leaving (their union dues being spent chasing the UFC around) and make your way somewhere else. Then you could even write a review about said restaurant stating their relationship with such a bullshit union.

Ok so here is this thought. Maybe the UFC can not legally do anything about it so it's it possible for us to get a list of where the culinary union workers are employed. We as a community can call the establishments, post to their Facebook and Twitter and give negative yelp reviews expressing our intent not to spend our money at their establishments due to the unions bully practices. You're hurting the restaurant owners when you should be hurting the union members (the workers). A restaurant doesn't have a choice about whether to have a union or not ( I guess they could shut down if one is voted in). It's the workers who vote for these union measures, it's the workers who pay the dues that support this antiUFC stuff. It's the workers who deserve to suffer. I'm not tipping at any union establishment here on out. I suggest you do the same.

The thing that sucks is you know people that pay those dues are probably pissed off too. I wouldn't want any part of a union that pulled that kind of crap.

The Culinary's members work as housekeepers, kitchen workers, cooks, food servers, porters, and cocktail servers in casino resorts in Las Vegas and Reno. Bartenders as well. Stop tipping these people!

Maybe because Station's culinary workers want to unionize. Phone Post

Is that a known fact or an assumption? Phone Post

Wouldn't it be better to picket at the establishments to hurt the bottom line of the restaurants?

Strange...I have always heard the exact opposite. That the Culinary Union has been trying to force Station employees to join but they didn't want to. Probably because Station is constantly rated as one of the top employers to work for in Vegas.

Kneeblock - And Station was only rated best place to work a couple times and hasn't been for well over 4 years. Phone Post

I don't really care who is rated what, I just want these guys to leave my door alone and it seems there should be some way inside the courts to make it happen. Phone Post

Last I heard Sation employees had officially formed a committee to unionize, but only a few hundred of their 13,000 employees are on board with this. You can assume some are afraid to join the committee, but it can't be that many. An overwhelming majority of their employees have no interest in unionizing. Phone Post 3.0

That acconplishes zero. If you polled thos workers i would bet the vast majority have no idea that thier dues are going towards this.

Even the ones who oppose it have little to no say in where the dues are spent.

You can just admit your so anti-tipping in general that it is making you post nonsense. Phone Post
