...wouldnt say anything if they both didn't gas out. For Rua that was the most out of shape he ever looked IMO and I didnt hear about any injury or anything this camp. Personally it makes me question if he still wants to fight, or is training hard enough.
As for Cung his physique get progressively worse, which is expected with age I guess. But I really think he ought to cut down to 170 if he's going to take his career seriously. He looked really out of shape tonight, but he still fought well.
Also anyone else notice Wand looked REALLY skinny. That's the smallest he's ever looked IMO. I noticed his arms were very thin even during the walkouts.
Good performance by all. But I always question professional athletes showing up with the buddha belly. where's Mike Dolce at??

There was a time in Pirde when he got busted for roiding where he was bulky and MUCH leaner. Sure he was roiding but he had to be working harder on strength and coniditioning too. Make me sad to see those skills unable to be used

Since Cung has fought mma he has always had the wide rib cage and not been super ripped. I think it's just his genetics , shogun looks like he's never done any strength work ever. maybe not even a push up even .

Shogun gassed pretty bad vs Coleman. I don't think it was so much he gassed as opposed to be getting the shot kicked out a him. Thought he was the fresher of the 2 in the last round tonight!
Shogun wearing those tiny shorts doesn't help him look skinny.
Shogun has almost always been kind of soft but tonight he was definitely a step down from the Forrest fight, the training videos and pics leading up to Forrest were the leanest Shogun has looked in a while.
Cung is also usually a little soggy around the middle (when in the cage, they do a lot of work for him in photos), probably his diet but his MMA conditioning has seemed suspect before. Or he just has that kind of physique, puts every ounce of what little fat he has in that spare tire.
I agree that neither shogun or rua has ever been REALLY ripped but there's some pics of Cung when he was kickboxing where he had abs. And even compared to how he looked in strikeforce he was more body fat and less upperbody muscle. It looked like he hadn't been training.
Also I agree with the guy who said shogun was lean for the forrest fight, which makes me wonder even more why he was so chubby tonight. I don't know why he wouldn't have trained for this one after the last one. But he looked HEAVY. He might be one of the flabbiest guys at 205. Him and Brilz.
