I don't understand why people get so bent out shape at belt ranks in no gi. It serves the same purpose, which is to show rank based on experience and skill.

The pants and the belt I like, it's the bath robe part that I have a
problem with. It looks way cool, but is sooo dangerous to the no-gi
game :)
The only part I love about the gi is strapping on my black belt. I look
like a japanese super hero with it on and it feels pretty damn good too
to wear, but not to grapple in.
