I weigh about 202 right now and need to make it down to 194.5 in 2 weeks for the pan ams. I have never needed to cut wieght before and am in dire need of good advice!
My plan was to diet well and increase my energy out put for a week and do a test cut this friday/ saturday to see where im at. Also i signed up tonight for the hell of it and have recently not been working that hard and indulging alot, so i feel the diet and output may cut weight off fast...
PLEASE HELP
Going from 202 down to 194.5 is not cutting weight. If you watch your diet you will be fine
with some extra cardio work. If need slow your water intake the day before. DO NOT test cut one week out from the PANS. Good luck , I hope it all works out for ya. If it makes you feel better I made it from 169 to 149 in less than a month without any problems, no dehydration, no headaches, just work!!!

Cutting 8-10 pounds should be easy. You should be able to get most of it cut by eliminating all soda (diet soda also), fried foods, breads/grains, and meals after 7 PM. If you have to eat after 8 PM, make it a liquid protein for recovery.
I cut 10 pounds last spring 5 days before a tourney by following a strict diet, training 2 hours a day, and by turning the heat up in my car on the drive to weight in's (with a sweat shirt on).
Use pedialyte or coconut water to rehydrate (after weigh-ins) if you have to cut a lot of water weight.
Also, you have to weigh in right before the match(s), right? If that's the case, you won't be able to sweat it out. Just follow a strict diet between now and then. Lean protein, greens and little to no carbs will help. Also NO SALT! (either added or in the food)
Oatmeal for breakfast
Whole Wheat bread, ham, tuna, or chicken plain for lunch
dinner salad, vegetables, chicken, fish, practically carbless
low carb/carbless protein shake between dinner and sleep
Basically this is my diet when I cut weight, only carbs are early in day, and none towards night. What happens is I will lose a few pounds quick, then it'll slow down for a couple days and then I begin losing again.
