Maybe the most promising fighter in the whole damn division and he ruins his undefeated record with a sloppy, totally unnecessarily desperate shot in the 3rd round. Ugh.
I was waiting for this thread! Holy Shit!
As a Guamanian, I was rooting for Baby Joe, hoping against all hope (of course I knew he had no chance in hell). Holy sheet, this MMA!
I missed it, can I get a rundown of how it went?
DarkPlace Daz - I missed it, can I get a rundown of how it went?Caldwell dominated the first two round, mixing in takedown very well, and looked so dominant on the ground. 3rd round starts, Caldwell comes out and shoots a pretty sloppy shot 5 seconds into the round, straight into a guillotine, tapped like 5 seconds later.
TFK_Mas Tisu -Yes!!!! This is why I love MMA!!!

HeHitsMeBecauseHeLovesMe -Dude what about baby Joes defense? Hardly dominated!DarkPlace Daz - I missed it, can I get a rundown of how it went?Caldwell dominated the first two round, mixing in takedown very well, and looked so dominant on the ground. 3rd round starts, Caldwell comes out and shoots a pretty sloppy shot 5 seconds into the round, straight into a guillotine, tapped like 5 seconds later.
I'm almost 100% sure you're being sarcastic, but if you go 10 minutes fully defensive, you're being domonated.

Baby joes sub defense was really good, but getting taken down 4 or 5 times, and laying on your back with practically no offense equals domination.
It will be good for Caldwell.
He is the most talented fighter at 135, no question. He just is so raw. He has no polish on him, what so ever. His ceiling is extremely high. When he actually learns how to flow in the fight (he's just doing moves at this point) holy crap, no one will touch him. He's not getting the coaching, I don't believe. He is head and shoulders above anyone in the world, in terms of talent, at 135. He might never lose another fight, this was that good for him.
Wow what were the odds?
Was this the mullet Asian looking dude? Saw a promo briefly

CaliKush - Wow what were the odds?I think Caldwell was a 14-1 favorite
He's super cocky and needed to be humbled. His skills aren't anywhere near where his ego is.
Great talent and unlimited potential but I just don't like him.
I'mNotSurprisedMotherf**kers - He's super cocky and needed to be humbled. His skills aren't anywhere near where his ego is.Lol, whatever. The guy wrestled at a high level, his whole life. I think he knows a thing or two about humbleness. Of course he was talking really confidentially before a fight. What do you want him to say? He really didn't do anything most fighters don't do. You're just being a hater, for no good reason.

I feel like he shoulda exchanged more in boxing range to mask the TD attempts. Baby Joe was not afraid of the hands and saw the TD coming. Fan of both guys but was pulling for Caldwell.

Agree. It's not like he was getting lit up on the feet. He needed to strike more to set up his shot rather than desperately shooting from 6 feet away when there was absolutely no need to.
Rockholds_Salty_Pacifier -An hour before the fight I saw Caldwell at -1600CaliKush - Wow what were the odds?I think Caldwell was a 14-1 favorite
