Genuine LMFAO when I read this it was in his voice instinctually.

It drives my GF nuts when I do that during every event we watch......

Royce was the only fighter in the UFC to beat 4 guys in one night.

Haha I do the same thing Phone Post

Original GOAT... before Fedor.... before GSP/Silva

But it isn't fair to current fighters because in Royce day almost nobody knew BJJ. It was a foreign martial art. Now it's standard procedure to know the basics of BJJ. Phone Post

They may not have been like athletes of today, or had the technique and ability of today's fighter's but you must admit there is something cool about one-day tournaments. Guys like Gerard Gordeau or Igor Vovchanchyn would shatter their hands and go on to fight hours later, many of today's top fighters wouldn't do that, they would go home once the adrenaline wears off and they feel the pain. It is not really MMA ability, it is just an extra element of toughness that comes into play and it was a different game. I respect those guys enormously.

I agree about the original GOAT.

And it IS FAIR...Current fighters fight within weight classes, w/ rounds, and are cross trained in striking and wrestling.

Royce never knew rounds and was always the smaller, weaker, lighter fighter by a HUUUGE amount...And he was usually the slower, less athletic fighter...Also, he couldn't wrestle and he hit like a girl.

BAD ASS.

^^ yup. No rules. Everyone forgets that. Phone Post

They had rules in the first UFC. ^^^^^

No Biting

No eye gouging

Fish hooking was legal. It wasn`t outlawed until after Tank fought Oleg.I believe Tank was responsible for two rule changes.

Royce Gracie is basically the answer to "is BJJ effective in a street fight"
