Dan Gable Wrestling Museum Flooded!

I just heard from MMA reporter Eddie Goldman that the "flood of the century" severely damaged the Dan Gable International Wrestling Museum, in Waterloo, Iowa. I have no affiliation with the museum but visited it a week before and was deeply impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the exhibits and library, and the mission of the museum which is to preserve the history of manknind's oldest sport and to inspire youth to dream big and work hard.

The Museum is a not-for-profit corporation and subsists on donations from the public, as well as the many unique wrestling products that it sells in the gift shop and online.

A combination of flooding and sewer back up into the museum has destroyed thousands of dollars of artifacts and memorabilia, and left the physical plant ravaged. A professional clean up crew has been working in the museum for five days, tearing out carpet, polluted walls, battered furniture and office equipment, and some displays.

I've never sent an email out asking for donations before, but any help would be appreciated to help in this critical time when the survival of the museum itself is at stake. The museum is currently closed as they are trying to recover. Donations can be made through the following link: http://www.wrestlingmuseum.org/donateforrecovery.htm

Thanks for your support and assistance. Your help makes a difference.

Sincerely,
