2: Maia

3: Hendo

 Kampmann is at 170 now.

dangit.  Idk who's #5 then..sonnen by virtue of being a former champ.

yeah, Sonnen is probably in the top 5 contenders with his dominant win over Miller.

Demian Maia:

Win Chael Sonnen Submission (Triangle Choke) UFC 95 - Sanchez vs. Stevenson 2/21/2009 1 2:37
Win Nate Quarry Submission (Rear Naked Choke) UFC 91 - Couture vs. Lesnar 11/15/2008 1 2:13

okami is 7-1 in the ufc with 3 finishes,4 decisions.with the drama of the their first fight,he deserves next shot at anderson.

then whoever the winner of Marquadt/Maia fight should get next.

Hendo will probably get the next shot with his impressive murder on ufc 100

I think Hendo should have 1 or two more fights. Not because he needs them to be worthy of fighting Anderson, but because I want to see the following fighters fight him before Hendo:

Okami
Marquart
Maia

ttt

Hendo vs Akiyama

I just hope Okami quits breaking himself. He deserves a shot but its so hard to give him one with how inactive hes been.

Okami is the most obvious choice. He has one losss in UFC, but I thought he actually beat Franklin in that match. Plus he had Franklin in the mount late on 3rd round. He should have gotten the shot a year ago before Silva fought Leites and Cote. I don't necessarily think Okami will beat Silva again a rematch but he is the most deserving. I am surprised that UFC never set up Silva vs. Okami and Silva vs. Chonan. They would have had the great angle to market those fights too.

720 - He should have gotten the shot a year ago before Silva fought Leites and Cote.

He got the shot, but was injured and couldn't take it.

Champion: Anderson Silva

1. Yushin Okami

2. Dan Henderson

3. Demian Maia

4. Nate Marquardt

5. Yoshihiro Akiyama

6. Chael Sonnen

7. Nate Quarry

8. Denis Kang

9. Dan Miller

10. Michael Bisping

Okami's last three wins were over Lister, Tanner, & Macdonald Vs Dan's last three wins over Palhares, Franklin & Bisping, if you were going by that Dan gets the shot even know i would rather see Anderson smoke Okami again. I think if Maia can beat Nate he should get the shot.

I think Okami gets the shot right now.

Dan gets the winner of Silva/Okami, and Marqueardt/Maia get the winner of that fight.

Unfortunately I can see this shit being drawn out for the next 18 months though which sucks.

I agree with the OP, looks like they want to do Henderson vs. Okami.

Mad Xyientist - I agree with the OP, looks like they want to do Henderson vs. Okami.

That sucks bc I am pretty certain that the fight will go to distance. Both Okami and Dan are coming off KO win over name fighters. They should match up Okami and Silva, then winner gets Dan. Maia won't get the shot soon, bc he won't be able to get by Nate, which means there is a possibility for all the rematches for title shots. We need new faces for title contention and Okami is the logical choice.

Okami keeps getting the shaft so most likely it will be Dan
