Clickbait, and not taking fights on short notice isn't ducking. Justin himself had said no to his trainer for the second date vs Tony and was talked into it.
Conor should just do a money fight, Nate vs Conor III at 155lbs. At 155lbs Conor flattens him imo.
I’ve never been Mcgregors biggest fan by any means but this is just laughable. Is this the same Conor who wasn’t scared to fight the worlds best boxer who has an undefeated record? Or the same Conor who wasn’t scared to fight Aldo who hadn’t been beaten in like 10 years or the same Conor who has fought in 3 weight or the same Conor who wasn’t cared to fight Khabib? The UFC doesn’t have one single super star now and this is the hill Dana wants to die on? Hilarious
This is the same Conor that said he was staying ready in case someone pulled out. Then someone pulled out, and he ducked Tony. Try and keep up.
Conner has taken the safe way to the belt but it will be a long road for him. Well done Dana. Make him weight his turn.
The tide is turning for Conner. New young stars are on the up & he is older & on the outer.
I think it is funny. Telling Conner to wait for the winner. Those guys will fight, injuries & USADA with no contact for 30+ days. Anther training camp for the winner.
Do you really think we will see Conner back this year?
He will fight next year & be rusty. Blame his loss on that & a new star will be born or the GOAT will rise.
Dana is saving money & drama by putting Conner off.
"saving money"
It's becoming obvious that this is the reason we don't see a lot of bigger fights, or our favourite fighters more often.
But it's also very weird. "Saving money". We don't want to put on fights. Let's just save our money. We'll be the ultimate banking championship. See how that sounds? Every nickle they have should be seen as an investment in a fight, an opportunity to make more money, not "we should put that money under our mattress where it'll be safe and we'll never lose it".
ESPN doesn’t mind criticizing the NFL and then showing highlights. At some point the journalists there are going to clue into what goes on in UFC and someone smart will be able to report on it intelligently, and someone will organize the fighters into a union. ESPN won’t be paying 18 million per event if the big stars sit out. It will take a few years but this could be the start of a big change.

Saving money in putting out watered down cards and expecting the fans to blindly pay for the PPVs and multiple subscriptions.
They should just do a competetive No Gi 69. If Conor wins, he gets his big money fight, and if Dana wins Conor fights Turd Ferguson in a cage surrounded by fire at fight island, winner takes all.
Ufc fighter’s have been whiners lately. Just fight or sit on the sidelines. Too much noise.
And too much going on too. Would it kill these guys to honor their contract for one more fight and see what the world looks like to renegotiate before their next one? Everybody complaining just fought their last fight for that amount FFS so it was good for them then. These are the decisions that could get you a cushy job after you’re done fighting too if you choose right. Arguing over $millions seems pretty tone deaf when there are so many people struggling right now and the promotion can’t even sell tickets.
I’m tired of fighters not honoring their contracts.
If they want more money, they need a union. It’s inevitable
