I think the injury was from a failed takedown. You cannot say for a certainty that he would've shot the same exact takedown where he hurt himself, thus making to the fight and beating Diaz. Butterflies man, butterflies. Has you not heard?
Edit: + He started training for Condit, since Diaz was unable to travel to a shitty press conference, so that could've altered GSP's training, WHICH lead to the injury. :))

Well, Daley got close to finishing Diaz. Then again, Nick's pace is so damn dangerous and I could easily see him wearing Condit down and tear away on him during the later part of the fight.
This is one of those fights where I wouldn't be surprised to see anything happen, but I'm giving it to Nick. People always play into their game in the stand up and end up paying for it.

GSP is going to make his fight with Diaz look extremely easy. The way to beat Nick Diaz in the standup is with leg kicks. His stance leaves him open to leg kicks all day. GSP is extremely proficient at kicking in general and leg kicks specifically. It's going to be a quick night when they do inevitably meet.

Sounds like GSP is rushing his recovery. I hope he doesn't. I want to see a 100% GSP vs a 100% Diaz.
I know it's in the UFC's best interest to have GSP fight ASAP, especially with a few current champs coming off surgery, but I hope GSP takes his time and not rush his rehab. GSP already said that's why he injured his ACL, because he was overcompensating for his sprained MCL. GSP isn't as young as he used to be and needs to make sure he's 100% to prolong his career.
I can definitely see GSP saying that he hates Diaz to Dana. He's a consummate pro and is very careful what he says to the media, being a little too PC.
