Clearly inferior fighters don't hold on all fight and then submit you after you've "dominated" them all fight(without doing any damage I must add). GSP tapped to Serra's stikes...Anderson took like what over 200 strikes from Sonnen when he was on the ground and STILL finished the fight. GSP got dominated for a couple seconds tapped like a bitch, Anderson got dominated for 4 rounds and his opponent tapped like a bitch. Case closed

Anderson is the only champion that Dana has threatened to put on the undercard. Dana labels Anderson #1 pfp to garner some hype for his fights "watch the greatest fighter in UFC history fight, and witness history even though the fight might end up boring as shit" . Even though GSP has cleaned out the much tougher WW division, he doesn't need the pfp label to create hype for his fights.

Goku you are correct it wasn't a flash submission. It wasn't lucky. It was a calculated submission attempt to finish a roided out wrestler who had dominant position for almost 5 full rounds but still couldn't finish the job.

yeah but numbers wise, GSP hasnt lost a round in years but Anderson has lost several rounds recently.

I like both Anderson and GSP but his fight with Kos can probably put him at the number 1 spot.
That being said, my respect for Anderson increased leaps and bounds after the Chael fight. I can't say the same for GSP in his fight with Koscheck. GSP seems to have lost his killer instinct.

yeah..look..im not even a fan of gsp..in fact, i think hes boring..but i dont let my emotions get in the way of objective analysis...gsp is CLEARLY the #1 pfp fighter in the world..the way that he has consistently dominated TOP fighters, coupled with his ridiculous skill set makes him far and away the best...anderson is frankly not even close because of his wrestling deficiencies....
and if GSP fought anderson, GSP would win..if that does not prove pfp, i dont know what does

Look, I like watching Forrest as much as the next guy but if you are insinuating that GSP moving up in weight to fight one of the best fighters EVER in Anderson Silva, is comparable to Anderson moving up in weight to fight Forrest Griffin, then you are likely mentally challenged and have no concept of the difference in skill between a damn good fighter and an elite level world class fighter.
