the list of shit the fighters cant say with us gossip nannies.
Do we at least get to keep the word cunt? Or is that off the table...
Wow you really do smoke crack.
Fedoral Crime - Wow you really do smoke crack. You're not at all curious the "forbidden words?"
Kirik -I still feel like he was talking about Caraway
That you don't call the government official that regulates you a "fag" should not require an itemized list, unless you spend a lot of your life pissing into the wind.
Common sense doesn't need to be listed.
.
Big Pun - Common sense doesn't need to be listed. So every person in the world is in agreement on which words are offensive and which aren't?
Big Pun - Common sense doesn't need to be listed.
Sadly for most people it does.
Big Pun - Common sense doesn't need to be listed. We use to take pride in the fact that our sport would constantly cross that line. It's just these last three or four years, with the added exposure, that fighters are finding they have to concern themselves with what they are saying.
If we now live in an environment where a word can get you cut or fined, would be nice to know what words carried what penalties.

This is reasonable.
Can a black UFC fighter say the word nigga ?
Calling a gay man a fag is offensive. Calling a straight man a fag for doing a bitch ass move is comon terminology growing up where I'm from. Its like calling him a sucka , bitch, punk,

If by "we" you mean "you". I take pride in the fact our sport has grown and requires actual professionalism in conduct.

It should just be common sense for a professional athlete to not use certain terms in public yes. It's not a very hard concept to grasp. When you take a contract to fight in the UFC you are liable for public relations and must act accordingly. That would include social media, press conferences and all publicity.
er095 -Can a black UFC fighter say the word nigga ?
I bet they let that slide. Now if a white fighter said it.....

I do get it. but is is not where I come from
When I work in the shop with the guys I hear and use the F word a lot. When I go to the front office or my Mom's I don't
Without the mainstream fans via Fox like outlets the UFC will not grow.
I'm am not saying it is the only way but it is what it is
Señor Penis - Does these same rules apply for Dana or nah?
Yeah I recall dana calling people pussys and bitches
ArtisticStrength -Señor Penis - Does these same rules apply for Dana or nah?Yeah I recall dana calling people pussys and bitches
I think you are mistaking Dana with David Stern.

you're insinuating that he's gay, and he should be offended..... that's why using it is offensive, regardless of the sexual orientation.
but yeah, it is hypocritical of Dana, considering his past usage of the word...
notsobigmike - Tell you what.
The next time your boss does something you disagree with, send out a company-wide email calling him a fag for it. See what happens.
It's not just the specifics of language - it's professional conduct.
You'd think it would be common sense, but a lot of these guys (and apparently a lot of fans) have never had a "real" job.
yup.
