The fans excitement or anger over Kimbo Slice being on The Ultimate Fighter 10 is surpassed only by the actual fighters on the show and Dana White. Everyone is fired up to take out the biggest name and Kimbo has an opportunity to land a huge deal if he wins the show. White confirmed that Kimbo's deal is unlike any other TUF contestant (2:40 mark):
"He's got a contract if he wins the show. A contract to fight in the UFC. And it's a good one. That's his carrot. If he can do this, he can make some real money."
did you watch the video? Dana explains it clear as day. Nobody receives money to participate on the show, but the winner is guarenteed a contract with the UFC and Kimbo's guarenteed contract for winning is lucrative, more so than should someone else win.

No way Kimbo isn't being paid. 6 figures for sure in my mind. He could fight in Japan for lots of bread right now, yet chooses to do a reality show for free?
The only thing that would make this better is if Bobby Lashley signs on to the show. "Kimbo" in EliteXC was the worse representation of MMA in the world. They will probably revert back to the original way of TUF so that he doesn't have to fight his way on. I bet this POS won't even make it past the first fight (unless it is rigged).

I've been wondering the same thing....will Kimbo have to fight his way on the show??? Does he get handed a spot??? Or do they feed him a can????

The only "legit" fight he had was against James Thompson. But after the Petruzelli controversy was revealed it's hard to believe any of his fights were truly legit.
I had a lot of bad feelings towards this guy when he was with Elite after seeing the money and treatment he got whilst there were legitimate stars getting pushed to the background but all that was what it was.
After seeing Kimbo do things the right way and decide to fight his way through TUF to be on the big stage I have nothing but respect for him.
Give the guy a break, I mean whether or not he is a real fighter will be exposed when the show airs later in the year but what else does he have to do to make people realise that all he wants to do is fight, put food on his families table and be a success in this sport.
At the end of the day he has a name in this sport and I don't blame for using that to his advantage. It is evident from all the threads created about him on here since the news broke yesterday.
