I think this video is a great example of how far MMA still has to go. Just about everybody Dana talked to in that video had little or no clue as to what was happening in the UFC, or MMA in general. This is ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, and they didn't show one person who was up to date (outside of the MMA live guys, I'm sure).

All people could talk about was Kimbo. Or those two guys who were beating each other a few years ago (Forrest and Bonnar) or that little stocky guy who'll never lose (Faber, a week after getting KO'd). There is still quite an uphill battle for mainstream recognition.

Although it made me sad they didnt know who dana was, I did chuckle at this. This is ESPN and MMA is supposed to be the fastest growing sport!

I agree 100%. I understand that Dana has to put up with this stuff to promote the sport, but man it just made me cringe. I know how pissed I get when toolbags at work tell me about MMA (at least 6 people have asked me if Brock will fight Kimbo after Randy this week) I can't imagine dealing with it on the scale that Dana does.
