Theres a guy on every wrestling squad who swears he has a trick to cheat the scale, its usually a lighter weight guy. The kid on my team swore that by suddenly jsubtly jerking his body up and back at the moment the balance beam was released he could get it to go down before it went up, he just had to step off right away before it went back up. Long story short, I never saw it work although sounded good in theory.
