Daniel Cormier on fighting Jones: "I need to."

Good. Phone Post 3.0

I like it Phone Post 3.0

He needs validation. To be the champ; you gotta beat the champ. Cormier lost to the champ but beat a highly ranked contender...so what does that make him? Top-ranked contender, not the champ.

In 20 years he will be a former UFC champ regardless Phone Post 3.0

Good, I want to see a FIGHT between them, the first one left a lot to be desired.

And not a damn soul will forget he never beats Jones for it, if there's never a rematch. Phone Post 3.0

I'd actually bet that most people would forget that in 20 years. Maybe not you or hardcore fans that are on this forum but the average mma fan probably will.

Jones will beat him in devastating fashion this time. Phone Post 3.0

As long as JBJ gets a tune up fight first I don't see the rematch being any different. Phone Post 3.0

That's what they said last time and it was another boring ass decision. If he wins in the rematch it'll be more of the same.

LOVE his attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything in their first fight that would lead me to believe DC had a chance. I had predicted Cormier would win the first time around, but the way Jones dominated tells me the outcome would be the same 10/10 times. This is like Ronda/Meisha at LHW.

Not a fan of DC but he's got the right attitude cause he never beat the champ to become the champ. I can't see him beating Jones though

Speaking of Jones, other than the mopping up mats interview, have we hear anything at all about him? If not it could be a very very long time before we ever see him in the octagon again Phone Post 3.0

I'd like to see how Jones does in a rematch. Especially considering he has never faced an opponent twice.

I think all his opponents just underestimate how good he is in every aspect of MMA. DC clearly underestimated Jones wrestling and his will. Would be interesting to see how DC can adapt after experiencing 25 mins in the cage with him.

Also I'd be very interested in the pre fight shit talking too :) Phone Post 3.0

Is GSP still the WW champ? Phone Post 3.0

No Hendricks beat him Phone Post 3.0

Well, it's true that he needs to validate his belt.

Whenever a rematch occurs he better take a completely different approach than the first time. Phone Post 3.0

Didn't Dana say Jon fights for the title immediately upon his return? Phone Post 3.0

Lol @ when Werdum comes in and claims 2 years he was friends with DC and DC helped him train wrestling which helped him beat Cain, and DC says, "you son of a bitch" loI love their repoir

Cowboy eluded to Jones getting off on something related to the case on Sonnens podcast. Nitvthat he was acquitted but that he is making progress in some way so we might see this fight sooner than we think.

If Cormier doesn't get to fight a few other guys, his belt will meaningless, but like Hendricks' run.
