I tend to lean old-school for righteously correct reasons⌠So might be tough to squeeze him into the top 10.
Iâd have to think about it.
I do know he doesnât belong at #1.
But if someone wants to say heâs top 10 Iâm not gonna argue against it.
Jack, theres zero rush to reply to my post quickly. Take your time to look into what Im bringing up before you respond.
Please go to sherdog and look at Khabibs record. I would like for you to click on the profile of his first opponent. Look at his record.
Do the same for fighter #2
I would like for you to tell me, how many fights did Khabib have before facing someone with a half decent record?
I would like to see how you first convince yourself that 29-0 is not filled with absolute weak competition. However long it takes you to convince yourself, then id like to see if you feel confident enough to try and convince me.
I donât need to get into how one of Khabibâs opponents beat Islam in ammies, a handful of them went on to become champs in other orgs, or that the competition in the farm leagues in Dagestan is way higher than here regardless of their records because theyâre primarily fighting each other.
The fact remains that Khabib rolled over his UFC competition even easier than the supposed âcans in Dagestanâ. Never even got scratched.
What happened to âthe LW goatâ Oliveira when Islam fought him even though people said Oliveira would win because Islam never beat anyone?
An ethnic Avar, Nurmagomedov was born in 1962 in the village of Sildi, Tsumadinsky District. In 1987 he graduated from the Poltava University of Economics and Trade with a degree in accounting and economics. He had two sons, Magomed and Khabib, and one daughter, Amina.[1] He started his sporting career with freestyle wrestling, which he, like many Dagestani children, had practiced from a young age. While serving in the Soviet Army, he began to practice judo and sambo.[2]
This comes across as avoidance, and I think a solid example of moving the goalpoast.
The entire reason I said what I said, was because of you harping on â29-0â. It really came across as if you were using Khabibâs entire body of work as being something to note.
Now, instead of boasting about 29-0, youâre now dialing it back and just talking about his UFC record.
Well which route do you want to go? Do you want to use his UFC competition as his measure of greatness, and subject yourself to the same parameters for others and their UFC competition for consistency purposes? Or do you want to talk about padding his record against a bunch of scrubs as your argument for his greatness, ignoring the quality or lack there of in his first half career fights?
Khabibâs ammy career is no different than his Sambo career, his UFC career, or his spars during training from all accounts.
Complete and utter domination.
If 29-0 is not something of note name me all the other guys in the sport who did it? Much less did it while having one of the longest winstreaks in UFC history as well as the most title defences in the premier LW division, without getting scratched.
