How many fights end by KO where the guy getting KO’d has a perfect guard up to block the strike? Of course Askren’s hand dropped before he took the shot, that’s why it was a KO blow. Circular logic.
The fight wasn’t stopped early, it was stopped on time. Askren was on shaky legs. You clearly have no knowledge or experience with boxing. You can follow all ref commands and still be stopped if they see you’re done.
One punch is all it takes in boxing. That’s the beauty of a combat sport.
Everyone reacts differently to a loss. Askren didn’t care about this silly boxing match, he made a bunch of money, what was he gonna do, act depressed? He had some fun and was going home way richer.

I just can’t wrap my head around this fight being a work. Even if it was, I could see them possibly saying “here’s a little more to refrain from throwing your overhand right” or something. Even then, I don’t think that’s gonna happen. We shall see.
