Darren Till: I'm a Superior Striker to Wonderboy

Thoughts?

I say there is only one way to find out.

Blaf make it happen

I agree with him.

wonderboy is over rated.

point karate doesn't cut it in high level mma whereas muay thai does.

Traditional Muay Thai doesn’t cut it at high level MMA either, everything has to be adapted or modified. Point karate is actually a solid base because striking in MMA is more like playing tag and the style is elusive, it’s just not as popular. Muay Thai goes straight on blow for blow too much and while the strikes are hard, they are easy to read. Traditional Muay Thai is awesome, but no the end all be all of striking for MMA

I really hope it does happen. Brilliant fight.

I think Till would KO Wonderboy.

Yea, Wonderbread only beat Whittaker (current MW champ), Hendriks, Rory, and Masvidal

That bullshit Karate doesn’t work in MMA

Till will not KO Wonderboy.. Stephen Thompson has proven his style works and has been extremely effective with it.  He has had only 2 losses: Matt Brown (which if they had a rematch, Brown would lose) and Woodley (who in my opinion Wonderboy won at least their first fight.)  Till has not proven much.  He looked good against Cerrone, but Cerrone is a flat footed fighter. How would Till do against a counter puncher who has good movement?  Can Till beat Masvidal? Bobby Knuckles? Rory MacDonald?

I wouldn't look at Till's striking and say it's really traditional muay thai. Sure, he's come from that background, but from what we've seen it seems adapted.

Wasn’t really talking about Till, more my view on the other poster saying his “point karate” style doesn’t work

Gotcha. Yeah, both can work. We've seen both work. But both need to be used in the right way.

Don’t doubt Till but really feel he should be chasing Covington if he wants a name fight.

That or wait see if Carlos gets a win.

Till would kill Wonderboy. Next gen shit.

I got wb as second best striker in ufc. Till i haven’t watched enough of. He looks like a beast though. We Will find out soon

I agree this would be a good fight but I just don't think Darren Till has earned this opportunity yet. I would like to see him get one more win against a top 10 contender.

It would be a great fight imo.

These are the tallest 170 guys around [maybe Condits that tall to]. Till would try to walk through Wonderboy would lead to sure fireworks.

This.

Aussie Shaun didn’t think that through to well.

I heard wrestling is a shitty base for mma too.

I bet against Wonderboy when he fought Masvidal. Made Masvidal look like an amateur out there. Till gets outclassed imo.. WonderBoy is better than him everywhere..

Great post, spot on!
