I’m pretty sure it’s part of why he picked that song. It’s not a difficult song vocally.
That was basically Dave leading stadium karaoke with Foo Fighters being the band…but was still great.

@VinegarStrokes perhaps most of the song but Radiohead took the later part of the song to some elevated highs that most non-singers would struggle to emulate.
Another comedian has attempted to sing this song as well.

Foo has the most amazing onstage guest fans. Springsteen and Billy Joel have had some great ones as well, unfortunately many before the digital age. I don’t care if they are plants, it’s cool because they have never been in that spot on a stage that big.

for sure. I’ve seen them 3 times, decent live show. Dave grohl climbed the light stand and hung upside down from the rafters ripping a guitar solo… hadn’t seen that before
