It seemed crazy to me that he was trying to clinch rather than punch back. Even Joe noticed it. I saw Stipe winning the round until that final clinch opened that oppurtunity for DC to execute his plan, and it paid off.
Now that right there is some GOAT level shit.
Things I noticed that I was surprised how joe and crew didn’t was how tricky and clean dcs jab was. Or how those leg kicks were comming in, or the uppercut from the clinch. Or the the unorthodox way dc was going after stipe after the clinch. Or the fact that stipe looked to be slowing down prior to the eye poke. Made me also wonder if the dc we saw was what he was because of what he learned from John jones
