If steroids did not help, then why is he willing to throw away his whole career to avoid fighting clean? Especially in the face of a likely career ending punishment? One way or another the steroids are a massive part of his game or he wouldn’t (essentially) refuse to fight without them, no?
If steroids don’t help make you a much better fighter/athlete then why do ANY fighters use them outside of healing injuries?

I’m certainly not denying that Jones cheated and had intent to cheat, cause he did. And for that he lost me as a fan.
But what i’m saying is, the way that fight went roids had nothing to do with it. If Jones had manhandked DC for all 5 rounds without breaking a sweat then yeah that’d be attributed to steroids. But DC was winning that fight don’t forget. Roids had nothing to do with Jones knowing exactly when to throw that head kick. His training did.
To me the biggest shame is we will never know what DC's LHW legacy truly would have been. We can project one on him, but that is conjecture. Fuck Jon Jones for that.

Hard to trust any of Jones accomplishments in MMA considering he cheated against a guy that he already beat years ago. While Jones has only been caught a few times it's safe to say he's been cheating throughout his career. And he most likely cheated the first time he fought DC.

Fair enough about the first part but there’s been too much evidence that proves steroids does help a lot mentally as well as physically.
Look at the poise, calculation and confidence of TRT Vitor (he was NOT just on TRT either fuck outta here with that if anyone argues lol) and then compare it to how flat footed, plodding, desperate to land a shot and mentally lost Vitor looks when he doesn’t have gear. Look at Bigfoot eat shot after shot and fight a nearly perfect fight on “stuff” but then get dropped by the first punch when he wasn’t on the exemption list. There’s more examples, like Johnny Hendricks and such. HUGE difference in performance on roids and off.
Its ridiculous to assume its all physical help as mentally most of the users fall apart when they dont have the help.

This is just your speculation. I can play that game too and speculate that without the juice, doubt sets in Jon’s mind a lot quicker and that opportunity might not be there for him by the 3rd round.
Fact is Jon robbed us of the opportunity to see how that fight plays out with him clean.

There’s no active fighter who has beaten Cormier or proven to be more deserving of the championship. Even the previous champion concedes he cannot beat Daniel with out steroids. Who would you possibly replace the asterisk with ?
Some have indicated Cormier should not accept the belt, but that’s just not reasonable. It’s his belt that he never lost (given the decision has been vacated). By fighting as champion, he makes a lot more money than if he fights as a contender/challenger. It makes no sense what so ever to decline the title.

It clearly did. Jones roids for stamina so if he was clean, there is no reason to believe he would have the same explosiveness in round 4.
