A referee has a critical part in every MMA fight, but the spotlight is turned up in title fights, that why Keith Kizer has chosen Herb Dean to referee the rematch between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman at UFC 168.

Herb Dean has been assigned to referee the highly anticipated rematch between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva at UFC 168.
The Nevada Athletic Commission announced on Monday that Dean would oversee the middleweight title bout. UFC 168 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and also features a women’s bantamweight title tilt between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate.
Although Dean is not mistake-proof, he is certainly one of the best in the business and did a stellar job reffing their first bout.
