Dana never said he doesn't like Chope, they just don't want to employee him at this time. Mike Tyson is not an employee of the UFC so they wouldn't be able to terminate his contract.
Some fairly substantial differences there.... plus it's a Zuffa decision, not a Dana one (as far as I understand).
