1 loss and he could be cut due to the fact that hes not in the upper echelon of fighter in skill or excitement.

Mike Pierce is the reason I think Hendricks has nothing for GSP.
He is on a 4 fight winning streak which means unless he does a kalib Starnes a loss would not put him in danger of having his contract with the UFC voided
His talking will be done in the cage next week. For now he is creating hype.
He is entering the twilight of his career and brings a ton of experience against top level competition which he has fought his entire career.

Pierce has sort of been got the short end of the stick when it comes to matchups and recognition, he was the first fight on the facebook prelims last time out despite the face his only losses are close decision to the very top of the division.

Mike is a very well spoken, logical and realistic guy. I'm not a huge fan of his style, but I like him and I'll be rooting for him.

AJDavis - Yeah well, let him think that Rousimar is a cheat an easy fight.I think we all know Rousimar was suspended 9 months for elevated testosterone so it's not a matter of 'thinking' he's a cheat - he did cheat.
Also, I don't think he said it was an 'easy' fight, just odd matchmaking, which it is.
This match up isn't odd at all, sure his losses have been to contenders, but his biggest win is vs Aaron Simpson (who's another "prelim" fighter). This is a fight he needs to win and win decisively to get the attention he deserves.
