December is historically one of the best months of the year for MMA. Most promotions try to put on a big show to end the year. The last week of the year is especially interesting to me with KSW 41, ACB Moscow, UFC 219, and the two Rizin shows.
What December events and/or fights are you looking forward to the most?
UFC 218 is filled with great fights, UFC Fight Night has some good ones, Tony Johnson is one of the toughest opponents for Minakov outside the UFC, the FOX card is stacked, 219 looks good so far and the KSW and Rizin cards will most likely have some interesting fights announced in the next few weeks and the production and presentation of both promotions is top notch. On paper, its the most talent filled and exciting month of fights the UFC brought fans in 2017.
Gonna be interesting if McCall and Horiguchi both win on 12/29, then they would meet in the semis on 12/31.
I’m sure Rizin has been negotiating with Kron and Aliakbari for NYE fights. Besides hoping they both fight on NYE I moreso want to see them fight worthy opponents and not journymen opponents with 10% chances to win.
Just don’t know how many fighters Rizin can attract that can challenge Aliakbari.
