Decisive Battles

have you guys seen this show on the history channel? it doesnt provide that much new info on the great battles in history, but the animations are pretty interesting...of course they look like a supernintendo game, but at least the HC is trying to produce more stuff that doesnt have anything to do with hitler

When they aired the program on Thermopylae, I could've sworn they were saying the Spartan hoplite was armed with a xiphos while showing a kopis or falcata...

No biggie in this case--AFAIK, both the xiphos and kopis were used at that time.

Yeah, but if the narrator is saying "xiphos," and what is being shown on the screen at the same time is a kopis or falcata, won't the viewer then be misled into thinking the kopis or falcata is a xiphos?

Yeah, Decisive Battles uses the graphics from
Rome: Total War. I saw the Rome game at E3 this
year and it's incredible. The graphics and
gameplay are totally new. The old Total Wars were
cool, but this one looks like it blows them away.
Can't wait until it gets released.

I'm chomping at the bit, personally.
