Dez Bryant released

Great day for Cowboys fans IMO. I’m excited for his contract to be gone, as i believe he was a cancer in the locker room. Will help Dak develop more too. Thoughts OG?

Fuck the cowboys

.

Agreed ... very happy that they released him.   He really hasn't done shit since his last contract extention.   Was happy when he came on board, and I'm happy to see him leave.

My Bengals will pick him up I’m sure.

100%

got his new contract and did jack shit

Matt Serra

Rams will sign him.

He needs a real qb to throw to him, his numbers only dropped was Romo was gone

Dez has dropped off but he is still good. Dak just sucks at throwing the deep ball and can't make any big plays with Dez like Romo did.

Yup. My first thought. That freaking coach is hungry. They want talent. Dez will be LA bound.

This.  The NFL is a bunch of liberal bullshit for pansy ass sissy boys.

What?

Lol! They have $262k in cap space.

As long as they got Cole Beasley, they’re good to go.

lol.

Incorrect in my opinion. I will admit i think the last two years we used Dez wrong. He is no longer a deep threat and i wished we would have made him an Anquan Boldin type possession receiver. That ankle injury really hinders him still.

Not a true nbr 1 receiver. Romo made him look better than he was and he’s been dinged and lost a step since then anyway. Very good nbr 2 for whoever gets him, I think.

He was never really a speedster, but with Romo scrambling out more often and making the secondary work harder he probably had more time to get open and cash in on more deep balls.

Seems like a good time to let him loose. He was good but more like a wannabe game breaker rather than a disciplined route runner. Can’t really do much with a guy like that once they start getting older and injured.

Yea when you have to hire a “route guru” this late in your career i have to believe he got by with pure athletic ability until recently. Now he’ll need to become a pure receiver to get back on top.

still a Dez fan, but it was probably time to go with the money he was making. he can still play IMO, now more of a possession receiver to move the chains. he was never much of a downfield thread w/o Romo. still one of the best YAC monsters.

that said, not thrilled about the Terrance Williams/Allen Hurns combo at WR (& they shouldn't have let Butler go). would have liked to see him take a pay cut.

I always forget about that whole cap space thing.

Hmm... So what, any way around that? Are there any quick fixes to that? Or is a team with low cap space basically screwed as far as big signings goes?

Dez was a guy where you throw it up and he out muscles and jumps over the DB to take the ball. Romo could throw the jump balls to him and put him in a spot to make the catch.

Dak had no idea what to do with Dez and doesn’t have the talent to make him shine. Dez is no crisp route runner.

He is also good as a runner in the open field. He is a big strong dude and can break tackles.
