                    <blockquote>

It’s a freak show. I said I’d never put on a freak show fight and I’m doing it.

Listen, this guy chased me around the country saying bad things about the sport. If he wants to get his ass whooped, I’m gonna let him.

You want me to tell you, ‘James Toney vs. Randy Couture is gonna be the greatest fight in the history of the sport?’ No. I’m building a great card around this fight. You’re not buying the James Toney vs. Randy Couture fight alone.

Here’s what I expect; the bell rings, they come to the center of the Octagon, circle each other for a little bit, Randy double legs him, puts him against the fence, squashes his head and the fight is over.

But I’m not delusional. We started filming the UFC 118 Countdown show, and as fat as James Toney is, all the guys working on the show say his hands are like lightning, they’re so fast. You can’t disrespect the guy for what he’s accomplished in his career. He could catch Randy and knock him out. Everybody has a puncher’s chance. God forbid.

Haha at least he's realistic about it.

I thought Dana discriminates freak shows, what a fackin hypocrite

Let's face it, you only said that to find something to diss other promotions.

"I said I’d never put on a freak show fight and I’m doing it. "

So Fedor doesn't deserve to be in the UFC but Toney does??? Go figure.

lol @ "God forbid"!

freakshow fights=$$$

Phony Q. Liespitter - It's a freak show. I said I'd never put on a freak show fight and I'm doing it.

There goes my opinion of Dana White as a man whose word is bond.

 lol

Dana. Listen, you say a lot of things and then go against your own words.

I don't mind freak show fights to be honest. They're fun, in a way. Nothing wrong with a bit of fun.

By professionalism/ringsmanship do you mean yelling at people while punching them in the head?

threestars35 - I thought Dana discriminates freak shows, what a fackin hypocrite

Yeah, what she said.

James Toney is a true student of the game.

Sadly, it's a different game.

I bet one of this days dana is going to answer that Dream prank call

At least Dana is honest.

Put it into perspective with the boxing VS MMA drama. And people want to see this. It's not like a Hong Man Choi circus match.

He is by far the best boxer ever in MMA.

Great interview though I have not heard Luke Thomas before.

What was the mma radio and Dana White shakeup on twitter?

What did they mean?

3rd leg -

Randy has never had to deal with

1) an athlete like Toney

2) striking anywhere near Toney's level

3) the ringsmanship/professionalism that Lights Out brings.

99.9% of MMA fighters don't even have the opportunity to experience TRAINING with someone like Toney, let alone actually stepping in the ring.

This is sarcasm right? Besides striking (in terms of hands), I'd have to strongly disagree with everything else. Almost sounds noobish.

blue63 -  LOL.  Got to love the baldfather.  He speaks his mind..

That would insinuate that he offers his honest opinion, which, as anyone who has kept track of his public proclamations would know, he does not.  He's a huckster, his statements little more than ballyhoo.
