On mmajunkie, they mention that a "mystery American" had purchased M-1 from Fedor's manager. He definitely would win a bidding war with whoever else might want to challenge him for it.

To be honest, my sources (My friend owned Pride) said that the company had been purchased by Orel Herschiser.
