But I have to travel for work, and they might not have a dipping belt at the gyms around there.
I saw a belt in a store for about $40, and thats pretty expensive.
I was thinking of making my own.
I have an old belt I dont use.
I have some chains that I used to use to hang up my heavy bag.
I would connect a couple of the old chains together, and then put the chain through the center of the weights and then put on my belt through the chain.
Would that work? Or do you guys know of a cheap place to get a belt?
I got one from Ironmind. A tad expensive, but really comfortable and it holds about 1 billion pounds without breaking a sweat. I'll have it for life, and my son probably will for his as well.
I've "Magyver'd" some equipment now and then, but I don't think I'd try it with something I plan on hanging a lot of weight on.
jkd_guy: that's exactly what i've been doing for the past 2 or so years. it gets a bit uncomfortable with heavier weights, but it works (and that's my only complaint).
