CFFC 61 is tomorrow w/ grappling standout DJ Jackson (just beat Garry Tonon for the 2nd time) fighting Bassil Hafez. Going w/ DJ by submission. Your pick?
2 undefeated welterweight prospects fighting in the top northeast regional promotion! I have Action Jackson by Sub or UD.
Is this his first fight? I'm not really a fan of his style, but it seems pretty well suited for MMA.

He fought on a small card here in VA last year. I think it was ammy status but I don't know.
I'd take DJ buy UD.... maybe sub. Talked to him at the last Shogun event a few weeks ago, his grappling style is so good for MMA, he's hard to beat.
If you're watching that card though, make sure to catch Hopeton Stewart's fight. That kid is the truth.

He's 3-0 as a pro, but this is probably his first opponent with a winning record

Hopeton is a hammer, he is at 155 now and I can't wait to see him compete at that weight!!

Correct, but that is no fault of his own. He was booked to fight Manny Walo earlier this year for the CFFC Welterweight title but Manny was unable to make weight and the fight was scratched.
Bassil is a great test to see where both of them are at!
He beat Tonon twice in grappling? That's Lloyd Irvings guy ain't it?
Furious White Belt -He's shorter than me....I'm 5'5"..... his wrestling & sub defense is really goodHe beat Tonon twice in grappling? That's Lloyd Irvings guy ain't it?

Yeah. He's TLI. Lloyd has some super talented guys coming up in our region right now. DJ, Sodiq, and Petties are all killers with less than 4 or 5 pro fights.
Tonon lost to him twice in a points match. Tonon takes it if they did Sub only though
DJ Jackson won by decision. He won the 1st and 2nd. In the 3rd he went for a lazy superman punch and got dropped with a counter hook. He managed to get a takedown and hold on for the win. His wrestling looked great and I think he might have landed at least 7 or more takedowns in the fight.
That's impressive, any other decent fights on the card?
failure at life - That's impressive, any other decent fights on the card?
Zu Anyanwu won by tko in the 4th int he HW main event. Local HW Shawn Teed won with a keylock from guard which was cool. Anyanwu should be in the UFC at this point and Teed will be there soon.
