Cats are the best at pulling guard.
Do wild animals have a better understanding of using leverage than humans? We've scientifically broke down grappling, but animals fight to kill and must minimize injury to survive.
Ferrets pull guard.
Pitbulls don't pull gaurd and get easily caught in triangles, but they've got one hell of a flying gaurd pass.
skibby - Do wild animals have a better understanding of using leverage than humans? We've scientifically broke down grappling, but animals fight to kill and must minimize injury to survive.
Animals also have to minimize death amongst them selves in fights in order to perpetuate the species. They fight to kill for food but usually not against each other
dhughes - Wow, I've never seen that UFCats video before! Hilarious and well done!
Lmao @ lives left. When the black cat swept the other was pretty sweet.
There's a youtube vid (a clip from Herzog's Grizzly Man) where two grizzly's are fighting.
The bears:
-clinch
-wizzer (wrestling)
-obtain guard (BJJ)
-bottom bear scoots his hips back and gets to his feet (Chuck)
-bear shits himself (Sylvia)
It looks exactly like grappling techniques.
Check out the turkey side-kick @ 0:50. Eagles no only grapple, but they have stand-up skills as well.
Belated thanks Sagiv :)
Pitbulls = wrestling (always want top, looking to dominate)
Cats = BJJ (always pulling guard looking for a choke)
Golden Eagles = Karate (one strike one kill)
^^ Interesting analogy.
Bad ass video
very good thread.
My cat Tanner loves to pull Inverted Gward when we are wrasslin
Holy shit, I had no idea eagles were so badass. Voted up for the vid
Never ever heard of, much less seen eagles go after wolves before. Crazy
Good video.
