Do you even realize Clowney is on the field?

Also most players tell you that after that knee injury that it feels off for the first season back...the the season after your comeback to where everything feels back to normal.

BruteDion -
jcblass - He is overrated, got his paycheck and is just on cruise control. Yea he had some injuries, but he was also supposed to me the most physically imposing specimen ever to walk on to a football field. That is how he was billed and sold. He was drafted because it would be "stupid" to leave the "best player" in the draft sitting there after the first pick...

Well they got him and  he just looks like another dude. Nothing spectacular at all.

you act like blowing out your knee is "some injuries" lol...he bends down every play to just get ready be for the play. Hes already having to use his torn knee more then most people have to do.

Its pretty sad that just because AP comes back for the same injury and everyone is expected to do the same. AP was a running back who was not about being shiffty and also running is a more natural motion then what a DE or OLB has to do.

He was injured in college too. All of these "injuries" go against the narrative that he some some beast of a player. He is like a NFL-Derek Rose.

Excuses Excuses. We will watch the 30 for 30 on him in a couple years when he is selling used cars.

We could have had bridgewater I think it was a better decision at the time for sure Phone Post 3.0

I will not argue that he does not have a track record of being hurt often.

But your point does not add up. With Derek Rose does anyone say "hes not talented"? no because D-Rose is a beast. Your calling Clowney "overrated". Are you also calling D-rose over rated?

Who has blown out a knee on the defensive side who puts thier hand in the dirt and came back and smashed teams on thier first year back?....no one

Look bro, I get that you are fan, but the guy has not done a single thing, including staying healthy, that backs up the bill of goods that was sold to everyone. That's all. I don't even find this statement too controversial. The guy had a few highlight reel hits and suddenly everyone and their mother was calling him a once in a lifetime pick, a guy no team, regardless of need could leave on the table...why..."because he will be THAT good"

In reality, he was and is an injury prone freelancer who really have very little impact in the games he plays in. So yes, for all of these reasons he is over rated. Yes, sometimes injuries are totally freakish, but this guy has a history, his worth ethic suffers, and he probably doesn't train as hard. These factors increase one's likelihood of injury.

D-rose is also overrated, he is a guy who like Clowny had one good year and never did anything else beyond that. Clowney just isn't anything sensational and I have seen no indication he ever will be. College was a long time ago. I actually had to google him the other day to see if he was still playing. I believe he only had 2 tackles this season. I thank Mante Teo' has more than that lol.

TFK_Fanboy - So I do BJJ with a guy in the S&C staff at USCe

He says Clowney was the laziest guy he has ever worked with. This guy was on staff at a Midwest and West Coast school prior, both power 5 schools. He said not even close to someone as lazy on day to day basis in working out.

He said reason he had so many injuries is partially based on that.

Had this convo with him over summer.

Take for what you want. But Ward, the DC at USCe, one said Clowney went 80%. The guy I know said its closer to 40%-50%
Well his college coach even questioned his work ethic right before the draft lol. We all know how Spurrier tells it like it is. Phone Post 3.0

Who said Teo would not be able to play in the NFL? i dont remember anyone saying that beside Arm chair coaches. Now i do remember his stock going down because he was not going to be a all-pro like some billed him to be before the combine where he did shitty in.

Now add  that with fact he all but vanished in the title game and his draft stock feel but no one thought he would not be in the NFL helping some team adleast a little. Also Teo is in this 4th year...hes Clowney senoir by a 2 full seasons. I think its safe to say Teo has got a little something out of being a pro longer. Hes hitting his prime right now. Clowney has like 8 games under his belt so far. Im pretty sure he has no idea what it means to be a pro right now.

Derek Rose won an MVP and was a bonafide franchise player before he got hurt.

Not a really good comparison.

10 games into his career he finally recorded his first sack today (garbage time) in another stellar defensive performance by the Texans! Dolphins win, 44-26.

I say this because the news was so earthshattering, it is a headline on ESPN right now!

He's only played 8 games because he is injury prone because he doesn't work out. He isn't made of glass but he definitely isn't contributing as the Texans thought he would. Some of you may say he isn't over rated as a player but his durability is lacking. He was a bad draft pick, he has not shown anything because he has nothing to show. Phone Post 3.0

Amazing athlete. Supremely motivated individual? Doesn't seem like it. If he wasn't motivated before making millions as the first pick, what is going to motivate him now? This is always the biggest headache in drafting, how hard is this 20 year kid going to work when I give millions guaranteed?
