You are attempting to re-frame the question, but that isn’t the question being asked. Praising someone as a strong leader does not necessarily equate to “love” or even like. You can believe someone is a strong leader without liking them. Saddam Hussein was a strong leader, as we found out when we unbundled that country from his control and it quickly devolved into bloody interfaith conflicts. Saddam kept the lid on the crazy by being absolutely brutal. Now that I have said that, do you think I loved Saddam Hussein?
