Do you need a smart tv to steam the Espn app?

I have a blu-ray player that allows me to stream Netflix/amazon prime etc, but no smart tv.  I haven't been able to figure out how to get the espn+ app on there.....is it even possible?  Was hoping to order the fights tomorrow night at home.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You might need a humidifier...or maybe a rice cooker...depends.

Shit man, I have a smart tv but I can't even get the app on it. I'm. It one to sit here and complain about the espn+ deal, but I genuinely don't know how to order pay per views anymore. I'm not about to have a bunch of buddies over so we can all sit around my computer to watch the fights.

Why not?

You can all sit really close together half naked and hold each others thighs like Khabib and his boys.

(Just connect your PC to the TV and it won't be any different once you full screen it.)

What brand and model smart tv and Blu-ray player do you guys have?

Buy a roku or apple tv and be done with it. Much better app support than a smart tv

A $7 HDMI cord solves all of this...

Sorry for my ignorance but how does the HDMI cord allow for what I need?

Do you have a computer?

How do you connect your PC to your existing monitor?

If it's a laptop, what port does it have for display out / tv out / connecting to an external screen?

Depending on age of the laptop / GPU it will most likely have a HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA connection.

This will depend what kind of cable you need to connect it to your TV, the simplest being HDMI to HDMI using a standard HDMI cable.

Yeah I have a Lenovo laptop....its new but not a very powerful machine (was quite inexpensive).  I've never hooked it up to my TV before.

Check to see what port it has on the side / back it to connect it to an external screen.

It'll likely be a HDMI port, but could be a VGA which is usually blue in colour.

Then check your TV to see if it has the same connection as an input.

i just use my tv as my pc monitor
