During his first 10 years,he was living large for prison conditions.Even getting to fuck his old lady.He had a phone,drugs & a laptop.Probably got bigger or better portions of food.
I think him trying to escape,ruined his relations with the guards,because they transferred him.
I could be wrong but I think their currency is made of plastic now, at least partially, and bank notes that were issued back then are no longer accepted as currency.
I just looked it up. You can’t use 20 and 50 pound notes anymore and have to exchange them at a bank. So that is at least partially right.
If I were him, with the planning and thought that went into robbing this place, I would think he is smart enough to have considered that contingency and has a workaround in place. However that may have been on the assumption he would get a lighter prison term in Morocco, which he didn’t.
I have my doubts about the documentary. Isn’t Lee doing time for selling drugs in Morocco? Morocco has zero extradition laws to England which was perfect for him to flee there after the heist. He was super street smart.
