Doerksen wins

Dirty subbed his guy in the 2nd.... was in a bit of trouble, pulled off sweet triangle from bottom.

Perez/Waardenberg put on crazy awesome fight.... Perez won.... both guys were great...

Whole card was fantastic.

goin out, more later.

 WAY TO GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 keiths red for me

Congrats!!

perez will make me go grey or bald - he can never just win a fight, has to take a beating first every time!

Congrats on the W

What a great card, and what an honour to be a part of it.

Perez is clearly insane, and I love him. I won't be seen in public with him, but I love him.

Huge thanks to CFC for having me, to Team Canada MMA and WAMMA for providing world class training partners for me.

Special thanks to Giuseppe DeNatale. Would have quit seven years ago if I hadn't been introduced to you.

Thanks to my strength and conditioning coaches at McDoles Performance Systems. I'm a beast and it's all their fault.

Wanna thank Gregory Babene for comin in on ten days notice, and being an incredibly tough opponent. Was pretty sure I was screwed, two minutes into the first round. My only problem is I'm too stubborn to quit when I know I should. Seriously, that kid has some big wins in his future.

And, the girl that cheated on her boyfriend with me now thinks I'm an asshole, cause I spent the night alone. I don't think it bothers me that she hates me.

Honestly, this guy is a special fighter. This Eric Perez.

Yes, special as in special olympics, but also special as in EVERY time he fights, as a fan, it is a special experience.

He is not the MOST skilled (although he is very skilled), he is not the MOST technical (he's not technical at all!), he's just a very special fighter.

After seeing 2 of his fights first hand, constantly hearing about another from Quinn, and seeing stuff online, this freakshow will just keep 'putting out' great fight porn.

You really had to see this fight. If great matchmakers, like Marc-Andre, can keep matching schizoid-fight-freaks like Perez up with a like minded thingys like The Waardenberg, fight fans will be happy people.

My good buddy, Ian Dawe, was supposed to fight Perez. I so hope that can happen. That will be fight of the year.
Perez would love it. The only thing he wants, is another test. And Ian's the only guy with potentially a bigger heart. This would be like Christmas for these two guys. And for every fight fan.

Thanks for that fight Eric and Dmitri.

Joe lifts weights!!!!!! Holy shit, good thing. Cuz that kid he fought DEFINITELY lifted them, too.
Dude was a stud.
Joe had us all worried. 4th minute of the 2nd round, Joe's losing both rounds. French Dude hits like a truck, wrestles like its for food.
Joe knows Jiu-Jitsu. Whew. Good thing.
Man, it was stressful watchin that till Joe locked in the triangle choke.
Then I asked him questions post fight and he refused to say anything funny. Jerk.

WATER BONFELDT has a "unique" style, and he's a bad ass. He's the only MMA fighter in Kenora, which is like being the only ghey eskimo in his tribe.
HE KICKS SO MUCH ASS and is a great guy doin it. When I grow up, I wanna be Jesse Bongfeldt.

All fights were great. Seriously, all of them. Great matchmaking by Marc-Andre Drolet.

Dave Zuniga is a scarey Thai fighter. If you are offered a fight with him, turn it down.

Man, I love the fights.

It's 7:30 am on Saturday. I wish I had someone here to talk to about how awesome the fights were last night.
I tried calling Marc-Andre, and others, but no dice.

What is it that makes great fights so compelling?

For me, I think it is the mental contest.
Two guys have prepared for this moment, this test, for 6 or 8 weeks (but their whole lives, really).
Both march to this moment with the drive and desire to be great, and be greater than another man who has prepared the same way. In front of thousands. In a self-chosen situation in which they could be victorious, or fail spectacularly. In front of thousands.
As their bodies and minds weaken from damage, they fight on, till one wins, and one loses.

I lost twice before I won. Those losses make you feel so low. You want to die. But they make winning so sweet. You have something to compare the joy of victory to.

I love any professional fight, any contest between driven athletes. But, when the right fights happen, when perfect contests are created, it is truly something special.

Man, I love the fights. Thanks to everyone for letting me be a part of it.

Lion Of Zion - Fontaine win?

Fontaine lost by tko in second round? Fontaine is one of my favorite fighters in the world, and not just because he's a team mate and friend. I think he has some great fights ahead of him, and look forward to seeing him get back on the winning track. Congrats to Jesse for a big win over a very dangerous opponent.

Dave Zuniga had a very good night, winning a dec over Alex Ricci. Incredible fight. My hat goes off to Ricci for his performance last night. Truly a memorable bout.

Very proud of my team mates tonight, for the way they handled themselves, win or lose.

Good job Dave Zuniga, Chris Fontaine, Mark Durant, Serge Rochon, and Justin Barnard. Let's get right back to work, guys. Next fight is just around the corner.

Fontaine did have a great fight. Bongfeldt is a WEIRD opponent, cuz his skill set is so different than most. Great fight between those two.

How you feeling Joe?

pulled a muscle in my back, but I'll get that worked on Monday morning. Face is a bit swollen and ugly, but I doubt anyone will notice. Lil tired, but nothing Tim Horton's can't fix.

Oh yeah, the girl I been "seeing" the last few weeks was super annoying last night, and didn't seem to understand that last night wasn't all about her. We done now. Somehow I think I'll probably be ok.

Hopefully my crippled ass can stop being so MIA from MMA and get on a CFC card sometime in the future....

Also... congratulations to El Derte.

Congrats Joe! Wish I could have been there to see it, but I haven't been vaccinated for Winnipeg yet.

Sorry about the girl you've been "seeing." And by "seeing", I'm sure you meant "banging". You'd think a girl who was seeing an MMA fighter would know that it is ALWAYS about the fighter.

Trade her in for the new improved groupie model joe theres always tons of them around

Joe better have won. I didn't sacrifice a chicken on the hood of a PT cruiser in a voodoo ritual for nothing!

Oh Robin, don't forget, try and use the words "spoiler alert" in a thread title and don't announce the winner in case someone doesn't want to know the results right away.

Cheers!

Congrats!
wash that victory down with a little swig of Hasslehoffman

You're back with that lady friend aren't you? The high maintenance ones are like crack.
