Does it seem weird that since the new drug testing

Has been instituted guys look different, performances aren't as good, belts changing hands, etc. I mean Johnny Hendricks looked like a shell of his former self, even Gil Melendez looked a bit chubby out there. I'm not saying they were using at all but things just seem a bit different. I noticed many fighters last night looked either much more leaned out and natural, or chubby and natural. Anyone else notice? Phone Post 3.0

No

Seems obvious

I was thinking the same exact thing. Definitely noticed a difference but it may have just been a coincidence Phone Post 3.0

As far as I can remember, Melendez has never been RIPPED. He looked the same as I always remembered him.

I don't think Hendricks would ever use any kind of steroids, but I wouldn't be surprised if he used questionable substances to aid in his weight cuts. I would say his fatigue would partially be attributed to a really tough weight cut. In addition, Lawler did an amazing job of attacking that body constantly throughout the fight. The effect of said body strikes really showed in the 4th and 5th rounds.

Don't over think a Mexican and a Texan being fat Phone Post 3.0

Gil actually looked a bit better than usual I think Phone Post 3.0

The one that stood out to me is Schaub, he definitely came off something that was helping him physically or did not train properly for this fight.

Same here, he was man handled Phone Post 3.0

I meant nothing about Gil.

He looked about the same

I meant that it is obvious that numerous fighters are not the same as they were.

The transition will be tough, but I'm all for clean fighting.

What new drug testing are they doing? I know they banned TRT but what are you referring to?
Testing while not on a card. Basically what ended Wand and Chaels careers, and morphed Belfort into a new person.

A lot of abuse goes on while they are "off" (or now, retired), which is why they never get caught. That's changed.

Melendez looked the best I ever seen him, I just think the op is comparing to Pettis. that's probably the best I've seen gil look.

Duffy looked soft, Shaub was always soft and weighed the same, Hendricks looked the same, Pettis and Lawler looked in absolute shape. Phone Post 3.0

I thought Faber looked slow

Isn't Faber like 35 years old?

faber looked different to usual, less ripped than normal and seemed slower

Did Hendricks ever struggle this much making weight before the testing?

Once Random Testing is fully implimented you're going to see the real alpha males rise...

with ped's you got betas pumping themselves up with drugs and point fighting their way through their careers.  Those guys will go away.

I think guys like Lawlor, Frankie, Pettis, Diaz, and some others will show and prove that natural in the end proves to be the best way. Maybe some of the genetically made athletes were once in top will now be very obvious in their fall to the clean fighters. Phone Post 3.0
