Does Jon Jones get stripped?

Commision says they are looking into it. Does the Baldfather do the thing and make Gus / Johnson a title fight? Phone Post 3.0

Hell no Phone Post

If the dude was on cocaine before the fight then yeah.

But dude was tested in November. Irrelevant.

Was clearly party powder. Nothing more. Phone Post

No, UFC is going to protect their investment. Phone Post 3.0

He was in training camp. Phone Post 3.0

All I know is Diaz was suspended one whole year for weed.

He tested positive early December and the commision says it was truly a mistake / oversight and they will be looking into it.

How can you suspend a fighter for a year over weed an do nothing but pay the man and hand him a strap for cocaine? Phone Post 3.0

No that'd be asinine. He did nothing illegal according to the rules they follow.

did the war on drugs end in our country? last time I check cocaine is an illegal drug.

The oversight was about when they told Jones about the test.
I stand corrected good sir Phone Post 3.0

How the fuck can "the commission" be "looking into it" when there was no violation of their rules?

How do you know it was CLEARLY party powder and nothing more?

How can you even make a statement like that, you have no idea if he was full on Lamar Odom smoking crack with hookers before they crash his car... or doing a line here and there at a party. Also, I think cocaine does not stay in the system very long so it is possible to be a frequent user and pass various drug tests. The fact he only got caught once, does not mean he only used once...

It is totally relevant because the athletic commission is there, in large part, to ensure the safety of the fighters and ensure they are complying with the rules and laws.

There is massive safety issue when allowing potential addicts of cocaine to engage in athletic competition of the highest level, and it is also against the law. If I tested positive for cocaine I would probably lose my job and possibly get arrested.

This situation should have serious consequences. If the UFC is willing to ban people for weed or transitional testostorne treatment administered by a M.D. and suspend them for lengthy duration in time, then JJ should face similar consequences. What the UFC is trying to do by sweeping this under the rug, making JJ out to be a victim, and drastically changing their testing procedures is a joke.

How long until GSP comes back now :)

Very true, it could have been habitual or a one time thing. Phone Post 3.0

I very much dislike Jon Jones and do want to see more fairness in penalties. But I do want to see him fight.. Phone Post 3.0

I suspect JBJ would be in a position to sue the NAC for performing an unapproved test.

is this really different than obtaining evidence illegally?

They might do now he's under suspicion of PED usage as well. Phone Post 3.0

Outlaw'd by Lytle - They might do now he's under suspicion of PED usage as well. Phone Post 3.0
This. Took somebody long enough to mention it. Phone Post 3.0

They can test whenever and for whatever they want, the commissions make the rules.

Even if it was a mistake that they tested him he tested positive. There has to be penalties...... Phone Post 3.0

Should be changed to a no contest so I get my 50$ back lol Phone Post 3.0
