Does Mighty Mouse NEED to Move up?

He's the greatest ever, and all those considered great have changed and moved up weight classes.

He's got so many fights at 135 but when you're that light it's a bigger weight difference because every pound counts.

Some potential fights:

Garbrandt
Dillashaw
Cruz
Barao

Pretty much any of the top ten.

Hadouken -

nowhere neat goat status.

You're right he's not it very neat..

But mma GOAT for sure..

Of course he does. He needs to challenge himself like "a real champion" isn't that the mantra of the UG. Well no, it's only certain fighters that people like to shit on.

He's fucked. His division is fag paper thin, nobody gives a fuck about it. 10lbs up, a division people have some interest in, regardless of all this p4p nonsense, he's top 10, 5 at best.

If MM went up a weight class to fight some of the 135ers you mentioned I would be much more interested.

Clearly he has his division on lockdown to the point that the easiest way to generate interest would be to get 2 belts.

From a MM hater perspective, if he agreed to a fight against a top-5 135er, with a win granting a title shot, he could push to be a two-division champ. If he won, great. If not, at least the time he spent dicking around at 135 would allow for a new, real contender to possibly emerge.

He doesnt need to do anything unless the UFC decides to take away the weight class completely. But for fans it would certainly be great.

Let him break the record, then take time to bulk up, and move up to 135. Give the man his million dollar payday, a new contract guaranteeing 4 fights at 7 figures each and it will be worth it for him to move up.

LMAO @ seven-figure payday. He just headlined the least-watched card in UFC on FOX history. He had a PPV do less than 100k buys.

It's not even really to challenge himself but he's fighting in a division where there is no big talent. We've seen what happens when he fights legit comp, he loses lol

Anything but him fighting Joe Benavidez again. The 125 weightclass should be folded into the 135lb weightclass.

If he wants fans to care when he fights then yes. He dropped originally because Cruz schooled him, the 125 division is fucking rizla thin.

At least at 135 he could face fighters people have heard of. That would be a step in right direction if he wants recognition.

Isn't Barao at 145? DJ would maul him tho. I see DJ smoking everyone but the top 5. If he's going up fights with Garbrandt and Marlon Moraes could be epic.

You guys realize he was at 135, and only lost one close fight and a fight with Cruz that wasn't necessarily a beat down either.

Hes only gotten better. Sure, he'll have a hard time with those who have reach, but he'd easily beat anyone outside of the top three and pose a challenge to those three as well

So you're saying he should move up, and 125 shouldn't exist?

MONICA

He's a small 135er though. It would almost be like fighting with a handicap.

His head is Heavyweight size. It's all about balance.

If he was fighting below his natural weight class is say yes but he isn't. He moves up he'd be too small.
